I was driving east on us 40 to see friend in vernal ut. When I Came across glowingdome about 50 yards off highway. this gets weird all i can tell you is that the closer i got to it my car acted up and barely had the power to go by.I remember turning around 3 differt times to try to figure out what i was actualy seeing before i got too scared to proceed. so i started heading to vernal ut. but when i got to town it was not vernal it was heber city ut. which means that i turned around 4 times not 3 and it took 3 hrs it should have taken 1. I just had to tell after listening to you on coast to coast im not sure what made me think that it was 3 times not 4 on my turning around or that i want to know.it is so vivid in my mind but how i missed the extra turn around is beond me.?i did see 1 other about a mounth later tell ya another day not as grafic

An unknown shaped object about the size of a locomotive engine moving at very high speeds without lights. It was "hugging" the highway and only approx 200 feet off the ground. It was westbound on I-70 in Utah west of the eastern border with Colorado at about 2300 hrs. The object then returned a few minutes later and was eastbound in the same manner.

I am not sure if it was only one object passing us and then returning or two seperate objects. When the object flew over our car and down the highway ahead of us, it was almost surreal. I wasn't sure what I had seen. I asked my wife "Did you see that?" Her reply was she wasn't sure what she had seen. A few minutes down the road (westbound) it came back at us (eastbound). Only about 200 feet off the ground and without any lights. That part of Utah is mountainous and not well lit. There was a mild snow shower occurring which also impaired clear view. The object made no noise and there wasn't any kind of wind blast or anything that should be associated with an object of it's size and so low to the ground moving at such a speed. If I had to say what shape I believed the object to be, I would say triangular or at least multi-angular. Not long after that, the F117 Stealth fighter became public and I remember thinking that the shape of the object we saw could be described as similar. But I was in the Air Force, working on the SR-71 program. I am very familiar with U.S. aircraft and even some of the "black" programs being that I was in aviaton and worked on a program of secrecy. This was not an aircraft that I then or now have been familiarized with. When the object made it's second pass, I said to my wife "Now don't tell me you didn't see it that time..." Her reply was "I don't know what that was and I don't want to talk about it." You must understand that my wife was raised in a family that was and is still very devout Christians. Her father was a Pastor of a church most of his life and now teaches at a Chrisitan college. I too believe that Jesus Christ is the savior of mankind. But in conflict with or maybe just not congruent with my beliefs is this experience. I am not ready to jump up and say that this was some sort of alien craft, all that I do know is that it was something that I cannot explain and that even with the experiences I have had in dealing with aircraft and "black" progra! ms, this event is still beyond my understanding.

A green light descending from the sky

I have experienced three sightings of UFOs in my lifetime. The second sighting was in September 1992 in Western Utah. I was traveling west on U.S. Highway 40 to Salt Lake City with a friend. It was around 10 o'clock in the evening. It is VERY dark in this remote area of the world with no street lights. 

We saw a very bright green light that was descending from the night sky at a very slow pace. As I drove I was watching it for several minutes in disbelief as it silently approached the ground. It was probably 2 to 3 miles away. Remember, this is the American West where views can be 50 to 100 miles. And we had unobstructed views of the valley. 

What was most memorable about this sighting was the slow rate of descent. Amazing.

We were Elk hunting when we saw what appeared to be a plane crashing. So we got in our truck and proceeded over the ridge to investigate. We ran out of road so we proceeded on foot when we got over the third ridge we saw two more crafts. We then got closer and saw what appered to be people, we then stoped and observed.

Myself and some hunting buddies were up in the High Uinta's Elk hunting on October 19, 1998 when we saw what appeared to be a plane crash. We then got in our trucks and started over the first ridge. As we aproched the second ridge the road stoped and we proceeded on foot. As we got over the second ridge we saw to more crafts, we kept going and as we got closer we saw what appeared to be people so we stopped. By this time it was about 1:13 a.m.. We slowly stalked up on the site.

Pilots at local airport watched unidentified craft for several minutes.

At dusk this evening several pilots, myself included watched a mysterious craft. I had just landed about 10 minutes before the sighting. The air was relatively calm with a building of some very large dark clouds to the Northwest. I had just rolled my plane into the hanger when we heard other pilots talking about what they were seeing. I immediatly went out and observed a craft that appeared to be dark or black in color. It was first thought to be an ultra-light but appeared to be too large. Darkness was rapidly closing in and no pilot without any lighting would continue to fly. We kept listening for engine noise, but there was not so much as a whisper. We watched it approach bearing about 080 degrees, at less than 3/4 of a mile it turned to about 360 degrees. Our concensis was that it was about 1500 AGL, and moving at about 35-40 Kts. As it banked North it was under the clouds but mostly obscured by a dark background. Eventually it came back into clear sky, but had gained altitude, at least another 1000 feet or more. At this point with the darkness and distance we lost sight of it. I got a chance to see it with binoculars, it appeared to be chevron shaped. In discussing the incident with the other pilots, we thought that the dimensions of this thing would have a cord of about 6-10 feet and a span of appx. 30-35 feet. Sorry, no one had a camera, and given the darkness would have been difficult.

There were strobing lights that were stationary then appeared to take off and fly away in an faster than possible.

As we were driving west toward Vernal on U.S. 40, we saw a flashing light that looked like it was perhaps an airport beacon. It flashed at a regular pulse. It was very bright white with a bluish tone. it flaired out it a geometric, multi-pointed, three dimensional star shape. i could see it for several miles as we approached. It was stationary until we were a few 100 yards away. Then, as it flashed it reappeared to the north(my right) and higher it kept going gradually higher and right more qiuckly. It excellerated at a slow to faster pace then turned upward and west blurring in its speed into disapearance. My friend and I were agreed that we saw the same thing. On our return June 19. Since my freind saw a sign for Ashley Creek,we new where we sighted the lights. There were empty fields and nothing in the area that could have caused the lights.

Wobbling bright "twinkling star" exhibits white/yellowish light along with bluish and red randomly flashing lights.

Riding in the passenger seat of a car East on Hwy 40 toward Vernal, UT, I watched what I thought to be a very bright star or planet in the low Eastern/Southeastern sky to the right of a 3/4 orange moon. As the moon rose in the sky and turned to white, the bright star remained in approximately the same position in the sky. I observed the light intermittently as I gazed at other objects (stars, Mars, the moon, planes). After approximately 10 minutes of this stargazing I began to think the light was twinkling quite a bit and uncharacteristic of any star or planet I'd ever seen. I was not aware the driver had also noted the odd characteristics of the light until he asked aloud, "Is it just me or is that star flickering a lot?" We both began to watch it in earnest at that point. We watched the flickering until we lost sight of it as we entered the hills, but not before deciding the white/yellowish light just might be intermingled with intermittent red flashes as well. We anticipated picking up the sight again once we cleared the hills some 5-10 minutes later, but were surprised to find it was not to the right of the moon where we'd "left it". We continued our drive into Vernal scanning the sky for the same light, possibly tracking across the sky at this point. Instead we spotted an identical light in the low Northern/Northeastern sky. We watched from outside the car for a few minutes noting now this light had definite flashes of red. The other witness got the binocculars and through these I saw definite bluish light as well. It was also apparent this light was not completely stationary. It didn't track across the sky, but seemed to "wobble" in place. After some time it became apparent it also moved from side to side at times, but maintained the same general visual position in the sky. During this time, another identical but brighter light was spotted in the low Western sky. Through the binocculars the red light on this object almost seemed to be circling around an object and t! he bluish light was even more visible. This object behaved in the same way, not stationary, but not tracking or moving rapidly. It disappeared below the horizon at about 23:00, but the light in the Northern sky remained in relatively the same position until we tired of watching it at about 23:30. The following night of 9/15/03 as stars were beginning to appear, we located the light in the low Northern sky easily just as before exhibiting the same colors. The light in the Western sky was not as low as the night before, but it was also earlier in the evening. Unlike the previous night, however, the Western light blinked out numerous times for a few seconds while we watched. We left these 2 lights in these positions to investigate the posibility of them being satelites as a family member stated he'd heard of "red white and blue satelite(s)". We can not find any information or mention of these on the internet. The only "red, white and blue" accounts were on this website, the most parallel account also occuring in Utah a couple of weeks ago some 3 hours drive time from here. The account in the Wasatch Mountains above Salt Lake City dated 8/23-8/28/03 is precisely what we saw in color and behavior and location, except we did not see them moving rapidly enough in one direction to say the lights moved out of sight or below the horizon as opposed to the Earth rotating and causing the position change. I could only surmise the light moved and disappeared below the horizon because the other stars in visual proximaty did not move out of sight during the same time frame. However, I'm unsure what effect altitude or distance from the Earth might have on an object's position in the sky and movement through the sky from horizon to horizon.

I know nothing of satelite characteristics except for the common white light tracking fairly quickly across the sky. (We also noted 2 of these moving across the sky the night of 9/14,in close visual proximaty to the Western light.) Are these colored, wobbly flickering lights possibly satelites as has been suggested to me? If so, could you elaborate on the cause of the patriotic colors and odd wobbly movement? Please do not contact me except to answer the questions I've posed or to request more details of this specific occurence.

V-shaped craft with dimmed "mini-lights" around it.

I stepped outside to view the stars with a friend.I was showing him Leo.He grabbed my shoulders and turned me and said "Oh my God" look at that!I turned and saw a v- shaped craft with very dimmed lights all the way around it, traveling rather fast across the sky. We watched it until it went past a street light and we could not see it any further.It was the strangest looking craft I have ever seen in the night sky. It was as if it were a bird or other object with wings yet it had dim lights .

UFO caught on tape

I was visiting my family for the holiday. My cousin, Uncle and I were talking I looked up in the sky and seen a bright light. I asked my cousin and uncle if they were seeing what I was seeing and they confirmed what I was seeing. We watched for a little while and then I told my Uncle to go get the camcorder. When he got the camcorder he started to record the object. The object would move in different directions, change color and size and pulsate it was amazing we have footage!!!! NO JOKE!!!!!!!!

Glowing disk in night sky

There were four disk shaped objects in the evening sky, two were horizonal, one was between horizonal and vertical, and one was just round. The sun was setting and it was very dim in the sky, but they were White. Almost like tears in a dark paper then held up to a back lighting.

I searched my vehical and job trailor for a camera, and when i went back out they were gone.

I was chased by a demonic spirit in the form of a white orb of light.

As I was driving down highway 89 between Ogden and Salt Lake City, I decided to take a short cut through a rural neighborhood. I reached a dead end and was forced to go back to the main highway. I saw a cow in a corral and decided to stop and look at the cow and granary, as I think that skeleton architecture and pastures in residential areas are a very quaint phenomenon of the Mormon landscape. As I was looking at the granary and the cow, I saw a shadow move swiftly from my left side to behind me. A feeling of dread came over me and I got a strong feeling that I should leave. I always listen to my instincts, so returned to my car immediately. As I began to drive away, a strong feeling of dread washed over me. It was so strong I could cut it with a knife. I looked behind me and was surprised to see an orb of light in my rearview mirror. The light was about the size of a small cantaloupe, suspended in the air about 4ft high. I saw nothing but the light that wa! s rushing towards the back of my car. It looked something like a bicycle headlamp from my rearview mirror, so I assumed someone wanted to talk to me to see what I was doing. They were probably bothered by my presence or suspicious of me looking at their property. Looking in the mirror, I saw it was about 5 ft behind me before it veered slightly to the left side of my car. I stopped my car, rolled down my window, and was going to greet the person on the bike with the large bright headlamp. I then looked over my left shoulder to talk to them and there was nothing there. By the angle of the swerve and speed of the light was traveling, by the time I looked left to greet them, it should have been at my left rear fender and taken another second or two to be at my window. But by the time it took me to look from my rearview mirror to over my left shoulder the orb of light vanished! I opened my door, got out, and looked around at disbelief that it had vanished into thin air. Again,! I was overcome with a very malevolent feeling, got back in my! car, an d drove away as fast as I could. No light followed me as I drove away for the second time.

Glowing egg or oblong shaped flyiing object rose up from the ground and went east.

My wife and I just put our kid's to bed. We went outside on our porch for some fresh air and were just about to go back inside and to bed. When we saw a funny light moving slowly up from the low area on the landscape we live right by the Ute Indian reservation. 

It started changing colors from the steady yellow glow to all kinds when it passed directly over our heads and slowed to a no more that 25 miles per hour as it shifted from color to color and the only sound was a slight buzzing my wife said she heard (because I am pretty deaf due to my military service) it went away towards the direction of due east I'd say and then maybe 1000 feet away it vanished in the black night sky. 

This never happened before and it was egg or oblong shaped. Oh yea the power was off all over the area (power failure?).

Two orange lights in sky over Vernal, Utah

Bright stationary orange light in South horizon. Object then shot straight down and disappeared. About 10 seconds later another orange light appeared to the right of the first object. This one stayed in one place but became brighter for a second and then disappeared.

Large green fireball over a lake.

On an evening walk, my friend and I saw what appeared to be a large green shooting star or meteor very low in the sky. It disintegrated into several smaller pieces before reaching the ground. It was across town, possibly over a large lake. The light was bright enough to be seen out of the corner of my eye gaining my full attention. It lasted long enough for me to yell for my friend to look and also see it.

It was a saucer with 4-5 lights blinking unlike any aircraft I have ever seen and sat in the sky for 45 minutes or longer.

I went outside to feed my animals and looked up at the sky over U Hill and noticed that there were 4 lights in a row and were blinking. They sat there for about 15 minutes then started moving north and I could see that the saucer tilted to the right and then the left and then sat there for a while longer. Then moved south very slowly. 

Then looked like it was slowly going towards the ground but it was too far away to tell. 

Then it gained altitude again. I had a client call me and I told him to go outside and look toward U Hill and asked if he could see what I was seeing so I knew I wasn't going crazy and he said he could see the same thing.

Abnormal flashes in the sky

Was sitting by a fire out camping looking up at the stars. It's really clear out there no light pollution. I started to notice flashes of light looked like it was out in space but in our orbit. Do not know what they could of been. The best way to describe it was it looked like ships in sci-fy movies coming out of light speed. I have never seen anything like it.
