How it worksVector looks at your available capital and the assets you’re tracking to identify the best opportunities.
Which place is right for money waiting to be invested? These are simple examples to help you understand the choices. Rates change, so use them as a guide—not a promise.
Cash / Checking
What is it? Money sitting in a normal bank checking account.
Typical return: Often about 0%–1%.
How easy is it to get?Very easy. Usually immediate by debit card, ACH, check, or ATM.
How do you get it? Open or use a normal checking account at a bank.
Common example: Your everyday checking account.
Savings Account
What is it? A bank account designed to hold cash and pay some interest.
Typical return: Often about 0.4%–2%, depending on the bank and rate environment.
How easy is it to get?Very easy. Money is generally available on demand, subject to the bank’s terms.
How do you get it? Open a savings account at a bank or credit union.
Common example: A standard bank savings account.
High-Yield Savings
What is it? A savings account that generally pays more interest than a basic savings account.
Typical return: Often around 3%–4% when short-term rates are in the current range; top offers can be higher.
How easy is it to get?Very easy. Usually moved electronically back to checking when needed.
How do you get it? Open one at a bank offering a high APY.
Common examples: Marcus, Ally, Capital One 360, and other online-bank savings accounts.
Money Market Fund
What is it? A mutual fund that invests in very short-term debt, cash, and similar investments.
Typical return: Often around 3%–4% when short-term rates are in the current range.
How easy is it to get?Very easy. Shares can generally be redeemed on a business day.
How do you get it? Buy the fund through a brokerage such as Fidelity, Schwab, or Vanguard.
Common examples: SPAXX, VMFXX, or similar government money-market funds.
Important: A money-market fund is an investment, not an FDIC-insured bank deposit.
Treasury ETF
What is it? An ETF that owns U.S. Treasury securities.
Typical return: Often tracks short-term Treasury rates for short-duration funds, but the share price can move.
How easy is it to get?Very easy during market hours. You can sell ETF shares on the market.
How do you get it? Buy it through a brokerage just like a stock.
Common examples: BIL, SGOV, and SHY.
Important: The price can move, so your balance can be temporarily above or below what you invested.
Treasury Bill
What is it? A short-term U.S. government security that matures in one year or less.
Typical return: Often around current short-term Treasury rates; roughly 3%–4% in the current rate environment.
How easy is it to get?Easy, but a little less instant. You can hold it to maturity or sell it through a brokerage before maturity.
How do you get it? Buy directly through TreasuryDirect or through a brokerage.
Common examples: 4-week, 13-week, and 26-week Treasury bills.
Simple rule: The easier and faster the money is to access, the more useful it is as a waiting place for Vector’s BUY money. Higher-yield choices may require a bank transfer or a market sale before you can spend the cash.

🎯
What this meansWhen Vector triggers a BUY, a more aggressive setting commits more of your available cash. Historically, more aggressive settings have produced higher overall returns in many periods, but they also leave less cash on the sidelines for emergencies, unexpected expenses, or other opportunities.
Important: Historical results are not a guarantee of future performance. Choose the level that fits how much cash you are comfortable leaving available.
This setting does not change Vector scoring, tiers, gates, CNN confirmation, BUY triggers, BUY dates, resets, or any other rule that determines a BUY state. It changes only how much Vector suggests buying after a valid BUY signal is already established. Vector vs. Buy & Hold remains locked to its separate 100% comparison methodology.

Intraday Alert
Intraday Alert is a warning layer for meaningful market movement that occurs between the normal scheduled worker scans. It is meant to draw attention to a developing condition that may deserve review before the next routine update. An alert does not automatically mean BUY, and it does not change the engine’s BUY gates. Read the message, compare it with the current Market State and Vector Opportunity score, and wait for the next completed engine snapshot before taking action unless the app explicitly presents a qualifying trade instruction.
ACTION REQUIRED: INTRADAY DECLINE DETECTED
Pending intraday breach confirmation required.
Historical Replay Mode
Historical Replay temporarily changes the dashboard from today’s live market to a saved past market day. It is designed for learning, testing, and understanding why Vector behaved a certain way in the past. While replay is active, the displayed market conditions are historical and should not be mistaken for current live conditions. Nothing is purchased and your real account settings are not changed by reviewing a historical day. Use the return-to-live control when you are finished so the dashboard resumes the current market state.
HISTORICAL REPLAY —
The market state is currently frozen to show past conditions.
BUY Signal & Trade Plan
This section appears when Vector reaches a genuine qualifying BUY state. It is the action-oriented output of the engine and can show which securities qualify, the planned allocation, quantities, reference prices, and other execution information supported by the strategy. The important distinction is that this section is generated from the engine’s actual BUY decision, not merely from a high Vector Opportunity percentage. Review the complete plan before acting in your brokerage account. Vector can calculate and present the instructions, but the real trade is still your decision and execution.

What happens next?
This signal is an attempt to identify a market bottom — it does not guarantee the decline is finished. If the market falls further and the strategy conditions are met again, Vector may send additional alerts with different and potentially larger capital allocations. Keep capital available if you intend to follow the strategy through a deeper decline.
Why the System Signaled
This explanation shows the important conditions behind a Vector signal. It helps you understand why the engine moved into a stronger state instead of treating the score as a mysterious black box. Depending on the current or historical situation, the explanation can relate to the market decline condition, technical confirmation, sentiment or CNN information, portfolio and allocation rules, and other required engine gates. Use it to understand the decision; do not treat any single component as an independent BUY rule because Vector evaluates the required conditions together.
WHY DID THE SYSTEM SIGNAL THIS?
A market decline reached the strategy's required severity threshold.
Technical 50-day moving average confirmation checks passed.
Broad sentiment (CNN Fear & Greed) was verified as favorable.
Available capital was verified to be greater than zero.
The whole-share optimization engine successfully allocated the funds.
Vector Live Market Monitoring
This master-only section shows the operational health of the Vector cloud worker and its supporting data services. It can show whether the worker is online, whether the scheduler is running, whether the market is open, whether required market data is available, whether CNN/Fear & Greed is current, when the last successful scan completed, and whether the engine currently has a usable decision. The purpose is troubleshooting and verification, not normal end-user operation. If something is unhealthy, this section helps identify whether the problem is connectivity, data availability, scheduling, or the engine’s most recent decision state. Master diagnostics should be used to fix the system rather than to manually change the engine’s decisions.

BUY SIGNAL METER
This meter shows how close the latest completed market snapshot is to Vector’s qualifying BUY conditions. It is a 0–100% proximity gauge: higher means the setup is closer, while 100% means the engine’s actual BUY conditions are satisfied. The meter does not replace or override the BUY engine. Use the stage descriptions below to understand what the current reading means, and use the trend arrow to see whether the score has improved or weakened since the market open.

Historical Replay
Historical Replay lets you load a specific saved market day and temporarily experience the dashboard as if that day were the current session. This is useful when you want to understand how the market inputs, opportunity score, state, and BUY gates interacted on a real historical date. Replay is a review tool only. It does not send trades, change your account, overwrite today’s live snapshot, or modify the engine. When you exit replay, the dashboard returns to the current live market state and the worker’s latest completed decision.

Historical Proof
Historical Proof is a read-only comparison of Vector’s rules against saved historical market data. It is intended to answer the question, “What would Vector have done under these rules on past market days?” The section uses saved reference data and your selected position or time range to show historical BUY opportunities and related results. It is useful for learning, validation, and understanding the strategy’s behavior over longer periods. It does not predict the future, does not alter today’s decision, and does not execute trades.

Historical Performance
Historical Performance is a hypothetical, educational illustration of how your saved portfolio could have performed if Vector's historical qualifying BUY decisions had been followed during the selected period. It uses the historical market data and portfolio information available to Vector; it is not a record of trades that actually occurred in your brokerage account. The result is intended to help you understand how the strategy behaved in the past, including when it would have entered qualifying positions, how capital may have been allocated, and how those hypothetical decisions affected the illustrated result over time. Use this section to study the strategy and compare different historical periods. Past hypothetical performance does not guarantee future results, and the illustration should not be interpreted as a promise that Vector will produce the same outcomes in live markets. Nothing in this section places a trade, changes your account, or changes the live BUY engine.

How the Historical Result Was Built
This section explains how a historical result was constructed so the number is not a black box. It can show the sequence of historical BUY dates, the allocation logic, the benchmark assumptions, and other steps used to build the result shown on the page. Read it when you want to understand where a historical performance number came from and what assumptions were used. It is a transparency and education tool; it does not change the live engine or create an actual trade.

Vector vs Buy & Hold
This comparison shows a historical hypothetical using the same starting capital and the same saved portfolio. Vector follows its historical qualifying BUY calls. Buy & Hold assumes the same starting capital was invested across the saved portfolio and then simply held for the selected period.
Fair Head-to-Head Comparison: For this experimental comparison only, each qualifying Vector BUY is allocated 100% of the remaining cash. This is intentional and does not change Vector's real-world BUY alerts or allocation recommendations. The purpose is to compare the strategy's historical BUY timing against a simple Buy & Hold strategy on an equal fully-invested basis.
The comparison is not a record of actual customer trades and does not predict future results.

How to Use Vector
This is the beginner’s guide to using Vector. Start by choosing the stocks or ETFs you want the engine to watch and entering the amount of capital you want the planning math to use. Then let Vector monitor the market automatically. Most of the time, your job is simply to watch the current state and wait. When Vector reaches a real BUY state, review the trade plan carefully and decide whether to place the trade in your brokerage account. You do not need to calculate the engine’s indicators yourself; the application presents the result in plain language.
What should I do? (New User Guide)
Choose the stocks or ETFs you want to watch in the panel above.
Enter your available capital. This doesn't move any money; it just tells the math how much to plan for.
Press Start Monitoring or leave the app open to run checks automatically.
Let the engine watch the market. You can go about your day.
When a BUY SIGNAL appears, review the exact trade plan it generates and decide if you want to place the trade in your real brokerage.
Why Vector Has Not Bought
Vector does not buy simply because the opportunity percentage rises or because the market has fallen. A real BUY requires the engine’s required conditions and gates to be satisfied together. This section explains which parts of the setup are still waiting or unsatisfied so you can understand why the engine has not produced a BUY. A lower score, a WATCH state, or an OPPORTUNITY state means the strategy is still developing and should not be treated as permission to trade early. The safest interpretation is to let the engine finish its required checks and act only when the application presents a genuine qualifying BUY.
Why hasn't the system bought anything?
The engine only generates a BUY signal when ALL required strategy conditions are satisfied simultaneously. This prevents emotional investing and waits for historically significant setups.

For New Investors
This section is designed for someone who may know very little about investing or technical market analysis. You do not need to understand every indicator, formula, or data source to use Vector. The application turns the underlying analysis into a small set of understandable states, a 0–100 opportunity score, and clear trade instructions when the engine reaches a qualifying BUY. Your role is to provide accurate portfolio and capital information, understand that market decisions still involve risk, and decide whether to act when the engine produces a signal. The explanations in the app are intended to make the strategy understandable without requiring you to become a technical analyst.
What if I know nothing about stocks?
That's okay. You do not need to understand the technical calculations, moving averages, or drawdowns behind the signal. The application does the math and presents the final decision and exact trade instructions in plain language. Your only job is to decide whether to log into your brokerage and place the trade.
Advanced Engine Diagnostics
Advanced Engine Diagnostics is the master-only troubleshooting area. It exposes the operational pieces that normal users should not need to see, including worker health, market-data availability, scheduler timing, engine status, decision retrieval, errors, and related diagnostic information. Use this section to determine whether an unexpected screen result is caused by the market, a data provider, the worker, the scheduler, authentication, or the engine’s most recent decision. These diagnostics are for verification and repair; they do not replace the normal Vector decision path or give the administrator a manual way to force a BUY.

Testing Tool
The Testing Tool is a controlled “what if” environment for the master account. It lets you temporarily substitute a DIA price and, where supported, other inputs such as CNN sentiment to see how the production analysis path would respond. It is designed for testing and understanding the engine’s behavior, not for making a real trade. Test inputs are temporary and should not be confused with the live market snapshot. Running a test should leave the real account state and live monitoring state unchanged after the test finishes.
